Xia Deren (; born June 1955) is a Chinese politician. He has, since 2013, served as the Chairman of the People's Political Consultative Conference of Liaoning Province. Previously, Xia has also served as the Deputy Communist Party Secretary of Liaoning province, and the Party Secretary of Dalian. ==Biography== Xia Deren was born in June 1955 in Dalian, Liaoning, with ancestral roots in Rongcheng, Shandong. A member of the Communist Party of China (CPC) since July 1985. Started work in July 1982. Majored in Money and Banking, Department of Finance, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics and graduated with Master’s and Doctorate Degrees in Economics. He was a professor and doctoral advisor of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics. July 1974 - March 1978 Participant of Educated Urban Youths Working in the Countryside Program in Zhenjiao Commune of Fu County, Liaoning Province.
